## Why We Built TestOwl

QA teams spent most of their automation effort keeping tests working: a renamed button or changed class name broke selectors, writing tests needed code so only a few people could do it, and manual testers repeated the same checks before every release. Existing tools forced a choice between powerful code frameworks that were slow to maintain and recorders whose tests broke on the first UI change. TestOwl removes that trade-off: tests anyone can record, that repair themselves when the page changes, and that run the same way locally or in the cloud.

## What TestOwl Does

TestOwl is a no-code test automation platform for web applications. You record a user journey in a real browser and TestOwl turns it into an editable, reusable test case that runs against different environments and test data. Tests run locally through the desktop app or in TestOwl cloud execution, across 5,000+ browser, version and OS combinations and 30+ emulated mobile and tablet profiles.
